Hanmer Clinic is an accredited outpatient addiction treatment centre providing alcohol and drug addiction treatment services in Tauranga since 1999. Our treatment programmes are based on recognising that addiction is a complex disorder and that abstinence is the best way to manage the condition. We holistically approach treatment, working with mind, body, and spirit as components of a healthy life.
Our Services
Hanmer Clinic provides effective outpatient treatment to individuals and their whānau who are affected by alcohol and other drug dependencies. We facilitate recovery to achieve long-term abstinence and well-being, and we work to educate and de-stigmatise addiction in our community.
Our intensive outpatient programmes are specifically designed for employed people and those with daily commitments who would find it difficult to attend a residential treatment programme and who can achieve stability in their home setting.
The programmes cater to those aged 18 and over who are assessed as dependent on alcohol or drugs.

Thursday mornings: 10:00am – 11:30am
Thursday evenings: 6:00pm - 7:30pm
8 Week Intensive Outpatient Programme
Tuesday & Thursday mornings: 10:00am – 12 noon
Tuesday & Thursday evenings: 6:00pm – 8:00pm
Continuing Care Groups
Tuesday Evenings: 6:00pm – 8:00pm
Wednesday Mornings: 10:00am – 12 noon
Whānau/Family Programme
Last Thursday of every month: 6:00pm – 7:30pm

Participation in any of the recovery programmes is free and funded by Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand.
Applications and Referrals
Potential clients/whai ora can contact us for further information or to self-refer. We also welcome enquiries by any agency, service, GP, or counsellor on behalf of clients/whai ora who may identify with alcohol or drug-related problems. Where our services do not suit a client’s needs, we determine appropriate treatment options or other resources and refer them as necessary.

Location
The Clinic is located at 1235 Cameron Road, Greerton Village. You will find us above and behind Tyremaster. We use the same driveway as Greerton RSA, with plenty of off-street parking available, and access to a public transport route.
